If a famous singer is invited to the celebration, he will see neither the bride nor the guests because he will be performing behind a screen or in the next room and broadcast the songs to the main hall. The arrival of the groom and groomsmen is pre-decided and when they come, everyone covers them up with abayas.

Though Islam allows taking up to 4 wives, most marriages in Arab countries are monogamous. But if they marry other women, there are certain rules. They have to give them all a house and similar gifts and the wives must also accept each other. That being said, the first wife is always the most important one.

As per the old traditions, "Triple Talaq", that is pronouncing "I divorce you" three times can lead to a divorce. After that, the wife is allowed to stay in the house for some time to ensure that she is not pregnant, during this time, if the husband wishes to take her back, he can. But this works only for 3 times. After the 3rd divorce, he is not allowed to remarry her.

Women are also allowed to file a divorce if the husband doesn't provide for her. But it is a daunting task and also much frowned upon!

This happened in the 7th century when women from other countries didn’t have such opportunities. Islamic laws considered the marriage between a man and a woman as a contract that was recognized as valid only when both partners showed their agreement. Further, different countries have different laws, for example, UAE reserves all beaches, aquaparks, and beauty salons once a week only for women.

As far as clothing is concerned, Arab women should always cover up their entire body with loose clothes and wear hijab. They can wear anything under these loose clothes: miniskirts, jeans, and shorts. Kuwait is the only Arab country where women wear European clothes outside. Still, they should be modest and appropriate. But there are still many countries where old traditions are still followed strictly

If a woman wants, she can pursue education. In fact, they also go abroad to complete their studies. Further, though all the household chores are in the care of women only, in some countries, they can take help from the maids.

As for career, they can take up different roles ranging from executives to administrative roles or join the police force, but they have to take permission of their father or husband for taking up any job of their like.
